Dr. Thomas H. Wuerz is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a rich educational and professional background. He graduated from the University of Tuebingen, Germany, and after research stints at MIT and Massachusetts General Hospital, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency in Switzerland and at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Wuerz also holds master’s degrees from the London School of Economics and Tufts University. His specialized training includes a sports medicine fellowship at Rush University and a traveling fellowship in hip arthroscopy. Dr. Wuerz has served as a team physician for the US Ski and Snowboard, Harvard Athletics, and as a hip consultant for the Boston Ballet. He practices at the Boston Sports and Shoulder Center and emphasizes patient-centered care, incorporating the latest research and non-operative measures into his treatment plans.
